Bathroom Cleaning Tips

Unfortunately, most of us have to clean a bathroom, either on a regular basis or from time to time. Either way, it’s no fun. It is the room in the house that gets the most traffic. When we have guests over, they usually visit the rest room. They look around while they are doing their business and predetermine the housekeeping skills of their host. There are a few cleaning tips and tricks to make House cleaning and especially bathroom Cleaning go smoothly and quickly.

Remove Dirty Laundry

First things first, you must find a surface to clean it. Besides, nothing looks clean with clothes or towels scattered about. Grab any dirty laundry, towels, and wash cloths and get them out of there. Either put them in an alternate laundry basket somewhere or go ahead and throw them in the wash. If the hand towels are still clean it’s a good time to fluff the up a bit. If not, put out new ones. Don’t forget to wipe down the towel bar first. It only takes a second and this is a commonly missed area where dust gathers.

Start in the Back

Start at the back of the room, usually behind the toilet. The floor here is another dust magnet and the men in our lives don’t always have the best aim. It’s just the ugly truth. Gloves are appropriate here. Just grab a spray bottle and a few paper towels and go to work, it only takes a minute. As you are cleaning just throw the trash in the trash can, it probably needs to be changed anyway. Once that is finished pour some cleaner in the toilet bowl. You can let that sit for a minute while you are wiping out the sink. Be sure to pay special attention to the facets and the mirror. I like to keep some sanitizing wipes in my bathroom so they are always available to wipe something down. You should use Pest control Brisbane.

Tub/Shower

At this point I usually go ahead and finish cleaning the toilet bowl. This way I’m half way done. It’s also a good time to shake out any rugs you have. Leave them outside the room for now. A simple trick I like to use on the tub and/or shower is those magic eraser sponges. They work like a charm on soap scum and eliminate the three step process of scrubbing and rinsing. If you’re using them on glass shower doors you may need a hand towel to shine up afterwards. Don’t forget the bottom of shampoo bottles and the like. Soap scum likes to gather there.

Finish Up

If you don’t want to sweep you can just bring the vacuum in and use the hose to quickly suck up dirt and debris on the floor. Go ahead and put those nicely shaken rugs back in place. Run a wet wash cloth or a duster over the baseboards and windowsill. The last thing is to change the trash bag and you are all done. You should even use  Pest Control Brisbane.
You can clean your bathroom quickly and efficiently with the correct technique. Keep a small basket under the cabinet or somewhere out of site with a few tools in it. You’ll need a few small can liners, a duster, cleaning cloth, magic eraser, and toilet bowl cleaner. Sanitizing wipes and an air freshener of some sort are also good here. This way they are always available if you notice something not looking (or smelling) too spiffy. I have been known to take the magic eraser into the shower with me from time to time. Also, try not to keep laundry baskets in the bathroom unless you have an empty cabinet to keep them out of site. They just make it look junky and it doesn’t help the smell. Bathroom cleaning doesn’t have to be an all-day affair. If you follow these cleaning tips and maintain it regularly, your bathroom will always be ready for guests.
